REGIONAL WORKSHOPS
 Once
started, the women’s groups are autonomous and receive no direct financial
support from EDWON, nor are they accountable to the organization. But
the groups can learn much from each other and benefit from strong ties.
Therefore, EDWON organizes regional workshops for group representatives
on a regular basis.
These workshops are a forum for problem solving, exchange
of ideas, encouragement and support, and are a tremendous source of inspiration.
They are also an opportunity for our fieldworkers and facilitators to
receive important feedback from our clients.
In order to further strengthen and improve the groups, EDWON is expanding
this forum to include additional training in areas such as business development,
community activism, conflict resolution, environmental issues and health,
according to the needs and wishes of the women.
