THE WOMEN BEHIND EDWON

EDWON (Empower Dalit Women of Nepal) is the American sister organization to ADWAN (Association of Dalit Women’s Advancement of Nepal), the name of the original organization in Nepal. For the sake of clarity, we use EDWON to refer to both organizations.

THE BOARD IN NEPAL

The Association for Dalit Women’s Advancement of Nepal (ADWAN) is a registered NGO in Nepal.

Please note: Pariyar is a caste name, and does not necessarily indicate family relationships.

THE BOARD IN AMERICA

The American sister organization, EMPOWER DALIT WOMEN OF NEPAL (EDWON) supports ADWAN through fundraising and publicity and educates the American public about caste and gender issues in rural Nepal.
